Introduction

Non-formal educational institution for professional communication competence

LKP LBB ASME, under the auspices of Arsento Sarana Media Edukasi, is a non-formal educational institution fully dedicated to the development of communication competence in Indonesia. With official legality NPSN K5667983, we stand as an institution that bridges the gap between natural talent and professional expertise in the fields of public speaking, media, and rhetoric.

Our history is rooted in the desire to create a learning space that is technical yet inclusive for everyone — a place where everyone can practice their speaking skills in a structured manner, without being intimidated by a rigid academic environment.

History & Vision

Rooted in real needs in professional and academic environments

Arsento Sarana Media Edukasi was founded based on deep observations of the low standards of communication competence in professional and academic environments. We saw many talented individuals fail to convey their ideas simply because of a lack of proper rhetorical techniques.

Our vision is to become the leading communication laboratory in East Java that produces graduates with speaking skills at the national broadcasting industry standard — not just able to speak, but able to convey messages with structure, intonation, and presence that build audience trust.

This establishment is not supported by commercial ambition, but by a real gap: many young professionals in Gresik and East Java master the substance of their work, but struggle when they have to present ideas in front of meetings, cameras, or the public. ASME Lab is here to close that gap with measurable methods.

Legality & Compliance

Every one of our certificates has strong legal validity

Public trust is our top priority, which is why we ensure all institutional operations meet government regulations. As a Course and Training Institute (LKP) registered with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, every certificate we issue has strong legal validity.

This compliance includes curriculum standards, educator qualifications, and the feasibility of the facilities and infrastructure we use. We conduct periodic internal audits to ensure materials, equipment, and teaching quality remain in line with applicable regulations.

Compliance Aspects
01
Curriculum Standards
Training modules are compiled based on competency frameworks recognized by formal educational institutions and the industry.
02
Instructor Qualifications
Instructors are active practitioners with professional track records in media, broadcasting, or business communication consulting.
03
Facilities and Infrastructure
Studios, presentation rooms, and training devices meet feasibility standards for professional work environment simulations.
04
Certificate Validity
Graduation certificates are issued with a traceable registration number as proof of participation and competency achievement.
Pedagogical Philosophy

Communication is a motor skill that must be trained

We adhere to the philosophy that communication is a motor skill that must be trained, not just knowledge to be memorized. Our teaching approach is focused on intensive simulations where theory only takes up a small portion of the overall program.

Participants are encouraged to make mistakes in a controlled laboratory environment so they can learn and improve themselves before jumping directly into the real world. Every practice session is recorded, reviewed, and analyzed with the instructor — not to be judged, but to be improved.

Principle 01
Practice Dominates Theory
The largest portion of each session is direct practice in front of a camera, microphone, or audience, rather than memorizing definitions.
Principle 02
Mistakes as Learning Material
Each practice recording is reviewed together to find patterns of vocal and postural habits that need to be adjusted.
Principle 03
Layered Feedback
Instructors provide technical corrections, fellow participants provide audience reactions, and recordings provide objective evidence.
Principle 04
Individual Adjustment
Each participant has a different vocal habit map; training is tailored to each individual's profile and career goals.
Teaching Staff

Active practitioners who work in front of the camera or lead negotiations every day

The main strength of ASME Lab lies in its line-up of instructors consisting of active media practitioners, senior broadcasters, and business communication consultants. We ensure that those who teach are not just academics, but people who work in front of the camera or lead high-level negotiations every day.

This empirical experience provides a learning nuance that is highly practical and relevant to the ever-changing dynamics of the current industry. In other words, participants do not just learn communication theory from books, but absorb work habits from people who live them as a daily profession.

Each instructor brings a different specialization — some focus on vocal techniques for broadcasting, some are experienced in corporate negotiations, and some specifically handle leadership rhetoric for executives. This composition allows us to pair participants with the mentor most suited to their career development goals.

Facility Standards

Campus in Gresik with a broadcasting laboratory, podcast studio, and executive presentation room

Quality education requires capable infrastructure support to simulate a professional work environment. Our campus in Gresik is equipped with a broadcasting laboratory, podcast studio, and executive presentation room, each of which is acoustically designed.

We invest in the latest hardware and software so that our students are accustomed to using the equipment they will encounter at TV stations or modern meeting rooms. Thus, when our graduates enter the real work environment, there is no longer a sense of unfamiliarity with the technical devices that support their professional communication.

Contribution & Ethics

Social responsibility and professional ethical foundation

Contribution to National Literacy

In addition to paid programs, ASME Lab is committed to social responsibility through various media literacy initiatives for the wider community. We regularly hold short workshops for students and local communities to increase awareness of the importance of ethics in speaking on digital media.

We believe that by improving the quality of individual communication, we contribute to the creation of a society that is more critical and harmonious in filtering and conveying information.

Professional Ethics as a Foundation

We instill values of integrity in every learner so that they use their communication skills for constructive purposes. Rhetoric without ethics will only become manipulation, and we strongly oppose this in every teaching session.

Each of our modules includes a discussion on the moral responsibility of a speaker toward the audience and society, ensuring a positive impact from every word spoken.

Track Record & Innovation

Graduates spread across various industries and methodologies that are continuously updated

Alumni Track Record

Our graduates have spread across various industries, ranging from the banking sector and government to the creative entertainment industry. Their success in winning debate competitions, leading tender presentations, or becoming hosts is clear proof of the effectiveness of our methods.

We actively maintain relationships with alumni through communication networks to continue providing ongoing career development support for them. This connection also helps us map out competency needs in the field so that the curriculum remains aligned with real work practices.

Methodological Innovation

The world of communication continues to evolve along with technological developments, and so does ASME Lab. We continuously conduct research to update training modules, incorporating aspects such as virtual communication and speaking techniques for short video content.

This adaptability ensures that our students are not only proficient at speaking on a traditional podium but are also agile when they have to appear in fast-paced new media formats. Every change in communication format becomes a topic of discussion that we test and incorporate into modules if proven relevant.

Future Plans

Expanding reach through a hybrid learning platform

Looking to the future, Arsento Sarana Media Edukasi plans to expand the reach of our programs through a hybrid learning platform. We want to ensure that quality communication expertise can be accessed by more people throughout Indonesia without being constrained by distance.

While maintaining the quality standards of our lab in Gresik, we are ready to welcome a new era of communication education that is more digital and inclusive. Face-to-face sessions will remain the core of the learning experience, while online modules serve as companions for daily practice, recording reviews, and theoretical deepening.

We open the door to dialogue with communities, schools, and agencies that want to access this program from outside East Java. The ultimate goal is simple: everyone who wants to speak better should have a place to practice it, wherever they are.
